Gibsonburg and Garaway squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Gibsonburg had to settle for second. They lost 10-4 to the Pirates. The Golden Bears' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Gibsonburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cheyenne Reese, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Gibsonburg's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Garaway, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Gibsonburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garaway, they will square off against Tri-Village at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 30th straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
