Softball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-1 to the Atchison Phoenix. The Scots were not able to make up for their loss to the Phoenix from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Atchison, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Atchison will be playing at home against Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland Park will be paying especially close attention to the Phoenix's contest: after the Phoenix faces off against Troy, they'll take on Highland Park again at 4:00 p.m. on May 6.
