Softball Recap: Jackson-Milton Takes a Loss

Memorial hit Jackson-Milton with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bluejays fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 6-5. The Bluejays were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 15-1.

Jackson-Milton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brena McBeth, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another was Grace Johns, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Jackson-Milton's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Memorial, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Jackson-Milton will challenge Columbiana at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Memorial, they will take on Lowellville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
