Soccer Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Wapsie Valley Warriors, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Columbus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Wapsie Valley are ranked third).

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Wapsie Valley, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Coincidentally, Columbus and Wapsie Valley will both be playing Aplington-Parkersburg the next time they take the pitch. The Warriors will head out to face the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Sailors will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
