Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Vision's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Notus came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Vision, but Raelynn Nickel wouldn't allow it. Vision put the hurt on the Notus Pirates with a sharp 49-28 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Nickel, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 33 times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Shaely Vollmer, who posted 13 points and eight boards. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high.

Libni Vargas and Victoria Zamora certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Vargas put up nine points, while Zamora had ten points.

Vision is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points per game. As for Notus, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Vision will take on Wilder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilder will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Vision surely won't give up without a fight. As for Notus, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 27-19 defeat against Riverstone International on the 29th.
