Football Recap: Dolores Starts off Right with Win over Justice

Dolores had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Justice Phoenix 46-16 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Dolores' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Rantz led the charge by rushing for 73 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also picking up 39 receiving yards and one score. What's more, Rantz posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Darren Hicks was in the mix too, providing Dolores with two TDs.

Dolores didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Justice to a completion percentage of just 14.8%. The Bears weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 70.6%.

Dolores didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 56-7 win against Monticello on the 5th. As for Justice, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 32-6 victory against South Park on the 6th.
