Basketball Recap: Stuart Comes Up Short

After flying high against Buffalo Valley on Thursday, Stuart came back down to earth. The Hornets took a hard 54-38 fall against the Crowder Demons on Monday. The Hornets have struggled against the Demons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Stuart's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Crowder, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Stuart will venture away from home to challenge Savanna at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Crowder, they will head out to take on Pittsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Demons will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
