On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Landon Nichols, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
Metrolina Christian Academy's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Gaston Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Gaston Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Metrolina Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
