Albany had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines with a sharp 12-1 win. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

As for Wadena-Deer Creek, they moved to 10-5 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Wadena-Deer Creek's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Dutke, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Looking ahead, Albany will take on Foley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wadena-Deer Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New York Mills at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
