Football Recap: Royal Palm Beach's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Royal Palm Beach fell victim to Wellington and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 25-0 to the Wolverines. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Wolverines are ranked second).

Royal Palm Beach didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Adrianna Waithe, Jasmine James, and Monica Blanc picked up one apiece.

With the loss, Royal Palm Beach broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-7. As for Wellington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.

Royal Palm Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wellington, they will square off against Palm Beach Gardens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wolverines 3.3, the Gators 9.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
