Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Leighton Hornaday and Julia Long Lead Conestoga to Victory

Conestoga won the last time they faced Upper Darby and things went their way on Friday too. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Conestoga was led to victory by Julia Long and Leighton Hornaday. Long had nine digs and two assists, while Hornaday had four aces and four assists. That's the most assists Long has posted over her last four matches. Avery Lara also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Conestoga was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Conestoga's record is now 4-14. As for Upper Darby, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Conestoga wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lower Merion on the 6th. As for Upper Darby, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Ridley on the 6th.
