Chadron is 8-2 against Gering since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cardinals will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Chadron's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.

Chadron's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 41-0 victory over Alliance. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Gering got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 23-14 victory over Lexington.

Chadron better keep an eye on Rece Knight. He was instrumental in Gering's win, throwing for 85 yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 65 yards on only seven carries.

Gering was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Chadron's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Gering, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Chadron has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 215 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Gering struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 187.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
