Meanwhile, after soaring to 68 points the game before, Pinecrest Academy Cadence was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Rancho 77-27. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Rams are ranked 16th).

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Palo Verde, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Everything came up roses for Palo Verde against Pinecrest Academy Cadence in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 75-33 win. In that matchup, Palo Verde amassed a halftime lead of 45-20, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
