Arcanum is 8-2 against Newton Local since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will look to defend their home court against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Arcanum will be strutting in after a victory while Newton Local will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Arcanum got the win against Twin Valley South by a conclusive 3-0. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Arcanum was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11, 25-13.

Arcanum relied on the efforts of Grace Fry, who had 13 assists and two aces, and Jordyn Garbig, who had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces Garbig has posted over her last eight contests. Caroline Long also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Arcanum was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Twin Valley South only served four.

Meanwhile, Newton Local came up short against Russia on Monday, falling 3-0. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-12.

Arcanum's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Newton Local, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Arcanum took their win against Newton Local in their previous meeting back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
