Volleyball Recap: Pike County Comes Up Short

The Pike County Pirates didn't have quite enough to beat the Whitewater Wildcats on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Pike County sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25, 15-11.

Pike County now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Whitewater, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Pike County and Whitewater will both be playing Locust Grove the next time they take the court. The Pirates will host the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
