Baseball Game Preview: Odessa Tigers vs. Indian River Braves

The Odessa Tigers will head out to square off against the Indian River Braves at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Odessa is looking for their season's first victory.

Odessa came up short against Almira-Coulee-Hartline on Saturday, falling 18-3. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Meanwhile, Indian River lost 9-1 to Grassfield on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost seven in a row.

Indian River saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Green, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Green has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Jaydon Crawford also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Indian River now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Odessa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
