Softball Recap: New Iberia Has No Trouble Against Mamou

New Iberia won the last time they faced Mamou and things went their way on Tuesday too. The New Iberia Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Mamou Demons with a sharp 10-3 win.

Madison Taylor and Palyn Freeman did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Freeman scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Reese Bouillion was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

New Iberia's record is now 2-0. As for Mamou, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1.

Coming up, New Iberia is headed away from home for the first time to face off against St. Amant at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mamou, they will welcome Eunice at 5:30 p.m. on March 5th.
