Softball Game Preview: Loranger Wolves vs. St. Scholastica Doves

The Loranger Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the St. Scholastica Doves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Loranger came up short against Lakeshore on Tuesday, falling 12-3.

Daryck Deville was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emma Gonzales, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for St. Scholastica's offense. They lost 12-0 to Pearl River on Tuesday. The Doves' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Loranger's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for St. Scholastica, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Everything went Loranger's way against St. Scholastica in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Loranger made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
