Baseball Recap: Harlingen South Extends Road Winning Streak to Ten

Harlingen South entered their tilt with Harlingen on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted against the Cardinals since April 16, 2019.

Josh Ruiz made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Isaiah Olivares was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Nick Garza, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
