Southeastern RVT waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Tri-County RVT Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Becca Hornung made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Hornung wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Teagan Dulong, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Dulong is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Southeastern RVT's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-County RVT, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Coincidentally, Southeastern RVT and Tri-County RVT will both be playing Diman RVT the next time they take the field. The Cougars will host the Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
