Basketball Recap: Ja'sia Booth Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Airport won the last time they faced Brookland-Cayce and things went their way on Saturday too. The Airport Eagles walked away with a 48-41 victory over the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats.

Airport's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ja'Sia Booth, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Ijazanae Jackson, who posted nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Airport's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Brookland-Cayce, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Airport will host South Aiken at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Aiken will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Airport surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brookland-Cayce, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brookland-Cayce is facing Midland Valley at the right time seeing as Midland Valley is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
