Basketball Game Preview: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. Western Branch Bruins

Great Bridge is 0-10 against Western Branch since December of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Great Bridge Wildcats will welcome the Western Branch Bruins at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Great Bridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Deep Creek with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 77-59.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Western Branch, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They took down Lakeland 81-65 on Thursday.

Western Branch has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points over those games. As for Great Bridge, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 3-17.
