            Softball Recap: Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers vs. Rockwood Rockets        
        
		
        
        
            Berlin Brothersvalley waltzed into their game  on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Rockwood Rockets with a sharp  12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Mountaineers, who have now won seven matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Sam Walker was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Bena Barna, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Bryn Prosser, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 Berlin Brothersvalley  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in seven consecutive  contests.

Berlin Brothersvalley's victory was  their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 9-1.
