Volleyball Recap: Jovanny Regalado and Adam Tran Secure Win for Los Amigos

Saddleback came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Los Amigos, but Norberto Zapata wouldn't allow it. The Los Amigos Lobos had just enough and edged out the Saddleback Roadrunners 3-2 with plenty of help from Zapata, who had six digs, two aces, and one block. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (26).

Los Amigos took Saddleback into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-27, 23-25, 15-11.

Leading Los Amigos to victory were Adam Tran and Jovanny Regalado. Tran had ten digs and two aces, while Regalado had 17 kills, seven digs, three aces, and two blocks. Tran has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times he's played.

Los Amigos' win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Los Amigos will head out to face off against Orange at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saddleback, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pioneer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saddleback, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Pioneer's (thus far) undefeated season.
