After a string of seven wins, Falls Lake's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Heritage Huskies by a score of 3-2. The Firebirds were not able to make up for their loss to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Falls Lake started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 16-25, 25-23, 25-21, 16-14.

Falls Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Vance Charter on the 11th. As for Heritage, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Knightdale on the 11th.
