Baseball Recap: South Granville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

South Granville and North Lenoir squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Granville had to settle for second. They fell 5-1 to the Hawks. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

South Granville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Greyson Vacher, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

South Granville's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for North Lenoir, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

South Granville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Lenoir, they will face off against East Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mariners will roll in looking for their 26th straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
