Softball Recap: Washburn Rural Takes a Loss

Washburn Rural lost against Bishop Carroll on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blues took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The Blues have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washburn Rural's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bishop Carroll, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Washburn Rural and Bishop Carroll will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Blues are set to take on their familiar foe Emporia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll will challenge rival East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
