Basketball Recap: Hoxie Takes a Loss

Hoxie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds and fell 69-9. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 19th).

Hoxie's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Hoxie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-32 loss against Armorel on the 27th. Sloan-Hendrix has also already played their next match, a 66-49 win against Marshall on the 28th.
