Softball Recap: Albemarle Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Albemarle's offense. They lost 15-0 to the North Stanly Comets on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Albemarle is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5. As for North Stanly, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Albemarle will square off against Union Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Academy will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Albemarle surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Stanly, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against North Davidson on the 29th.
