Preview: Normangee Panthers vs. Joaquin Rams
Normangee has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Joaquin Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Joaquin took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Normangee, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Normangee humbled Neches with a 74-43 victory. With that win, Normangee brought their scoring average up to 52 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Normangee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trey Kirven, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kirven has scored at least 25% of Normangee's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Jones, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 75 points the game before, Joaquin were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Chapel Hill at home and fell 69-15. Joaquin has not had much luck with Chapel Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Normangee now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Joaquin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
