Basketball Recap: Kelia Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Franklin Heights over Worthington Christian

Franklin Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 39-25 fall against the Worthington Christian Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-29 back in December of 2024.

Franklin Heights' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelia Wilson, who posted six points along with seven boards and four steals. Kaitlyn Lemon also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Even though they lost, Franklin Heights smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests.

Franklin Heights' record is now 5-13. As for Worthington Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Heights will host Buckeye Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Worthington Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mechanicsburg at 7:00 p.m.
