Baseball Recap: Our Lady of the Lakes Takes a Loss

Our Lady of the Lakes fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bishop Foley on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 20-7 to the Ventures. Surprisingly, this marked the Lakers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Our Lady of the Lakes got a big performance out of Abe Iakovides, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Thomas Herrington, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Our Lady of the Lakes dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bishop Foley, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Ventures beat Our Lady of the Lakes by a score of 12-2 later that day.
