Baseball Recap: Okawville Takes a Loss

Okawville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against the Nashville Hornets, falling 16-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Okawville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Moody, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Okawville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Nashville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-1.

Looking ahead, Okawville will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Chester at 4:30 p.m. As for Nashville, they will head out to square off against Gibault Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
