Soccer Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hartsville Red Foxes, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hartsville this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in March.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Hartsville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lakewood will challenge rival Lower Richland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hartsville is set to square off against their familiar foe South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
