Softball Recap: Colton Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Colton extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 3-0. Everything went their way against the Dayton Bulldogs as they made off with a 13-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-5 on Tuesday.

Kiya Soza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

In other batting news, Lola Walsborn was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI and three doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Leah Musson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

As for Dayton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 11 runs.

On Dayton's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cindi Howard, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Colton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
