Baseball Game Preview: Cardinal Spellman Pilots vs. Cardinal Hayes Cardinals

The Cardinal Spellman Pilots will face off against the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cardinal Spellman's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Cardinal Hayes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cardinal Spellman's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Fordham Prep hitters got past them. The Pilots fell just short of the Rams by a score of 12-11 last Tuesday. The Pilots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Hayes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 18-0 to St. Peter's.

Cardinal Spellman's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Cardinal Hayes, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
