Basketball Recap: Max Hohman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lake George over Fort Edward

Lake George fought the good fight in their overtime game against Fort Edward on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Fort Edward Flying Forts by a score of 46-43. The Lakers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Lake George lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Max Hohman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Hohman is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricky Stroup, who posted 14 points and four steals.

Lake George's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Fort Edward, they moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake George will welcome Hadley Luzerne at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Fort Edward, they will square off against Hudson Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fort Edward has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
