Basketball Recap: Northern Burlington Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Pennsauken

After losing to Pennsauken the last time they met, Northern Burlington decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Northern Burlington Greyhounds snuck past the Pennsauken Indians with a 60-55 win on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Greyhounds' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Indians are ranked 102nd).

Northern Burlington is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Pennsauken, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

Northern Burlington will head out on the road to take on KIPP Cooper Norcross at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Pennsauken has already played their next contest (against Gloucester Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
