Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Meili Johnson and Lyla Huggins Lead Trinity Catholic to Victory

Trinity Catholic posted their closest victory since September 17, 2024 on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Houston Mustangs 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Celtics.

Trinity Catholic was led to victory by Lyla Huggins and Meili Johnson. Huggins had nine digs and one assist, while Johnson had three aces. Those three aces gave Johnson a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, Houston had strong showings from Ansley Pardue, who had nine digs and six assists, and Madelyn Wainright, who had seven digs.

Trinity Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Houston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
