After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santa Rosa Academy, California Military Institute was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Nuview Bridge Knights 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rough Riders have posted since March 28, 2024.

California Military Institute was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 17-25, 18-25, 25-17, 15-11.

California Military Institute pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Nuview Bridge, they moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, California Military Institute will welcome San Jacinto Valley Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Nuview Bridge, they will head out to challenge Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
