Preview: Evans Knights vs. Glynn Academy Terrors
Evans has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Glynn Academy Terrors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Evans focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Saturday.
Evans suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were beaten by South Effingham 70-30.
Evans got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Kayla Bennett and
Makya Wicker, who each put up five points.
Briyanna Jones held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Glynn Academy entered their tilt with South Effingham with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Glynn Academy walked away with a 54-45 victory over South Effingham on Tuesday.
Evans has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Glynn Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Evans took a serious blow against Glynn Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 54-24. Can Evans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
