Soccer Recap: Greendale Comes Up Short

Greendale lost against Franklin back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers lost 5-0 to the Sabers. While losing is never fun, Greendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Franklin are ranked 16th).

This is the second loss in a row for Greendale and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Franklin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2-3.

Coming up, Greendale will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Waukesha West at 7:00 p.m. Greendale's defense better be ready for this one: Waukesha West have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season. As for Franklin, they will square off against Indian Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
