Basketball Game Preview: Northridge Knights vs. South Beloit Sobos

Having just played yesterday, the Northridge Knights will jump right back in to play the South Beloit Sobos at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Friday, Northridge strolled past Chicago University with points to spare, taking the game 62-47. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Maroons are ranked 408th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South Beloit came tearing into Thursday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 64-22 victory over the Eagles. The Sobos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Northridge is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for South Beloit, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
