Softball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Frisco Raccoons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raccoons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 back in March.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Frisco, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Independence is set to take on their familiar foe Lebanon Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Frisco will challenge rival Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
