Basketball Recap: Plainfield North Comes Up Short

Plainfield North saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a blow against the Benet Academy Redwings, falling 64-28. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Redwings are ranked first).

Plainfield North has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Benet Academy, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Plainfield North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-28 defeat against Bloom on the 30th. As for Benet Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-38 victory against Manual on the 30th.
