Baseball Recap: Eldon's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Eldon unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Boonville Pirates by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 10-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Eldon got a good showing from Braden Wrye, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Eldon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Bk Bennett, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Eldon's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Boonville, their record is now 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eldon will head out to take on Hallsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boonville, they will venture away from home to challenge Hickman at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
