Creighton Prep is 10-0 against Benson since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Creighton Prep Junior Jays will head out to square off against the Benson Bunnies at 7:00 p.m. Creighton Prep has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
On Friday, Creighton Prep sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 win over Omaha Central. Given the Junior Jays' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Eagles are ranked 78th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Creighton Prep found their leader in sophomore Max Jungers, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 26 points and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jungers has scored all season. Trinell Parker was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to six boards and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Benson posted their biggest victory since December 9, 2024 on Thursday. They really took it to Omaha Northwest for the full four quarters, racking up an 85-44 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bunnies had established a 30 point advantage.
Creighton Prep better keep an eye on Ne'Rae Lee. He was instrumental in Benson's win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Lee has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Antonio Carson Jr., who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Creighton Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Benson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Creighton Prep has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24 boards per game. However, it's not like Benson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
