Softball Recap: West Orange Comes Up Short

West Orange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cypress Creek Bears. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Ilaria Forte was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

West Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Cypress Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Orange will welcome Sutherland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cypress Creek, they will face off against Lake Nona at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.9 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
