Softball Game Preview: Plainwell Trojans vs. Three Rivers Wildcats

Plainwell hasn't had much luck against Three Rivers recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Plainwell has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Plainwell came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Kalamazoo Central, falling 13-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Plainwell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Seibert, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Seibert's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Three Rivers came up short against Dowagiac on Saturday and fell 10-7. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Plainwell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Three Rivers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Plainwell might still be hurting after the 21-0 defeat they got from Three Rivers in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
