Timberland had won five straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 8-6 to make it six. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Woodland Wolverines. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Addison Sellars was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Gaskins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5. They have struggled against Timberland recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
On Woodland's side, Jordan Mccarthy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.
Looking ahead, Timberland will venture away from home to take on Goose Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodland will be paying especially close attention to the Wolves' contest: after the Wolves face off against the Gators, they'll take on Woodland again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
